The Unnamed Stalker - Death Note (2006)

An unnamed man living in Japan, the stalker ambushed Misa Amane as she was walking home one evening, brandishing a knife at her. He had fallen deeply in love with her despite never having met, professing his love and the desire to protect her from all harm.

Upon being rejected by the terrified young woman, he declared that he would use the knife to kill them both, swinging it at Misa as he cried and screamed manically.

As he continued to try and slash her, he suddenly began making strangled sounds, dropping the knife as he suffered from a heart attack. He tried to walk away with his last remaining breaths, but succumb, collapsing to the ground.

It was revealed to Misa by Rem that the Shinigami Gelus was the one responsible for killing the stalker, saving the life of the young woman who was destined to die that day at the hands of the man.

Madeline - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009)

A server working for Madame Christmas in her Central City tavern, Madeline also acted as an information broker and informant, providing information to her employer and her foster-son who would often frequent the establishment.

Tasked with informing Mustang with any suspicious activity, Madeline contacted her friend in the North who worked as a nurse in the hospital in the town beneath Fort Briggs, notifying her of Solf J. Kimblee’s miraculous recovery from wounds gained during a fight with Scar.

Meeting Mustang in a car, she fed this information back to him, adding that the crippling injuries were healed shortly after the rival of General Raven. Having supplied him with all the facts, she was paid for her services and left, loudly thanking him for a great evening and adding that he should come by the tavern soon.

Having discovered the truth about the Promised Day and the impending danger they were all in, Madeline and the other girls were smuggled out of the country on Madame Christmas’ orders, to save their lives and ensure they did not become political hostages.

Madeline - Fullmetal Alchemist (2001)

An informant for Roy Mustang working for Madame Christmas at her bar in Central, Madeline was a loyal supporter of the Colonel and would pretend to be meeting him for dates to cover up her espionage.

On one of their late-night rendezvous, Madeline met him in the back of his car to inform the Flame Alchemist that Solf J. Kimblee had been discharged from the hospital in the North of Amestris, having learned this information from one of her own contacts. She added that he had been in critical condition before the arrival of General Raven and his men from Central. She expressed her dislike of the General, who she had known to frequent the premises, calling him a disdainfully “dirty old man.”

Finishing her report, Madeline took his payment off him, counting the contents and joking that she had enough to buy a purse she had been saving up for. Asking Roy to drop her off as she is meeting some of her friends, she loudly shouts at him to come visit by the stop the next time he needed anything.

She was later escorted to safety on the orders of her employer, so that the Military could not use her as a political hostage.

"Madame Christmas" - Fullmetal Alchemist (2001)

A woman living in Central City, Chris (Christine) Mustang fostered Roy Mustang, helping him whenever he needed help with his military work. She owned a bar, hiring women to serve as well as a way of procuring information for her. Among those women was the server Madeline. 

Greeting Roy after the loss of his closet subordinates, Madame Christmas mused that it had been a long time since he had been to the bar. Asking how he was, she wondered if “Elizabeth” had dumped him, pretending to flirt with him to conceal her family relationship to him. Offering him a drink, she is given a message to pass to Grumman at Eastern Command, happily telling him that she would get right on it.

At some point soon after, she contacts Grumman with Roy’s news.

Months later, having procured highly sensitive information on “Selim Bradley,” “Madame Christmas” confirmed Roy’s suspicion that the young child was in fact a Homunculus, showing him the photos of the child who hadn’t aged in 50 years and was always present with high ranking members of the Amestrian military. She had also done research on Fuhrer King Bradley, finding birth records for the child, as well as how he grew up there, but nothing about his parentage.

She remarked to Roy that it was much work but was motivated to learn that the family that she looked up to in order to protect them was nothing but a fabrication. She wondered how anyone had not learned the truth about him, musing that the Bradley’s private physician would lie about Selim’s health to pass him off as someone born human.

Evacuating the bar by the sewers, she listened as the building blew up above her head, mourning the loss of her “poor palace”. However, she told Roy that she couldn’t carry on as a shopkeeper whilst the current military leaders were in charge, adding that she was going into hiding and that she had already had her employees transported out of Amestris by her top security officer. As she walked away, she bid her son goodbye, stating her desire for him to achieve his dream and become the next Fuhrer - something that made Roy laugh as she was still mothering him after all those years, something he objected to, but found to be sweet.
